Affinity Groups

Community-led affinity groups create specific space for underrepresented populations in the climbing community. These groups are self-directed and typically meet on Sunday nights for closed-gym events. Click below to learn more.

    Queer Climbing Social

    Queer Climbing Social (QCS) provides a safe and inclusive space at Boulders Climbing Gym for the LGBTQ+ community to build confidence and community around social rock climbing and community activities.

    Climb to Recovery

    Climb To Recovery is a group dedicated to anyone in recovery plus family and friends who are in support. We meet to enjoy climbing together in an affinity space for those who are in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction.

    Madison Women Climbers

    Madison Women Climbers is an informal organization of femme climbers of all levels of experience and interests in climbing. They welcome women (cis and transgender), femmes, non-binary, and gender non-conforming folks who feel comfortable in spaces that center around the experiences of women.

    Vertical Veterans

    Veteran Group for all things vertical (climbing, mountaineering, rappelling, bouldering, hiking, etc.). With Boulders, Vertical Veteran will support all skill levels. We will challenge, support, and build camaraderie in a safe space where veterans can be veterans.

    Adaptive Climbing

    Boulders' Adaptive Climbing Program is a free opportunity for people with any level of ability to participate in rock climbing. It is a volunteer-run program with a medium-small community focused on making climbing more accessible.

Climb4Community Schedule

1st day of the month:

Climb for a Cause Day! Climb for a Cause is our monthly fundraising initiative for local nonprofits we believe in. On the first of each month, we offer half-off intro packages, with 100% of the proceeds going to our partner non-profit. For the remainder of the month, we offer free stickers to anyone who comes in with proof of donation to that partner. You may also see occasional bonus fundraisers in the form of mid-month Climb for a Cause days, raffles, events, special merch, or other unique initiatives, so keep an eye out!


Queer Climbing Social:

1st Sunday of the month from 6pm- 9pm. Downtown on even months, Eastside on odd.


Madison Women Climbers:

2nd Sunday of the month from 6pm- 9pm. Downtown on even months, Eastside on odd


Climb to Recovery:

3rd Sunday of the month from 6pm- 9pm. Downtown on even months, Eastside on odd
